Course to a Cure Golf Outing

Course to a Cure

Hemophilia of Indiana’s 28th Annual Course to a Cure golf outing is on Monday, June 11, 2012 at Maple Creek Country Club. Indiana Hemophilia & Thrombosis Center and Baxter have generously agreed to serve as the event’s title sponsors.  Hemophilia of Indiana would like to invite your organization to join us for a day on the links with friends, lunch from the grill, cocktails, and Jug’s famously delicious catering followed by a live auction.  The Course to a Cure golf outing is a great opportunity for you to have fun while supporting a worthy cause.

Hemophilia is the most expensive chronic condition to treat, costing upwards of $250,000 per year and affecting approximately 1,200 Hoosiers.  Currently there is no cure.  Hemophilia of Indiana has a 49 year history of serving those affected by bleeding disorders in Indiana but in order to ensure that we can continue to meet the needs of this community, we need your help.  Our goal this year is to raise $50,000 to support patient services in 2012 and with your support, we are confident that we will reach this goal.

There are many different ways you and your organization can help to insure the success of this year’s outing.  Whether you are interested in donating an item for our auction or would like to join us on the course, please take a moment to review the attached registration forms and sign up TODAY!   If you are unable to join us on the links, please consider participating in our Golf Ball Drop, see sponsor page for details, or take advantage of our Dinner and Auction option and join us for the evening festivities.

Thank you for your generous support and we look forward to seeing you at Course to a Cure.

Camp Brave Eagle

Join us June 17 - 22, 2012 for Camp Brave Eagle!

Camp Brave Eagle was started in 1999 by Dr. Amy Shapiro, Medical Director of The Indiana Hemophilia and Thrombosis Center.  Camp Brave Eagle is a wonderful opportunity for children with bleeding disorders to participate in a traditional summer camp experience.

Our camp encourages self-sufficiency, builds confidence, increases campers' self esteem, and promotes a positive outlook.

Camp Brave Eagle also aims to strengthen the sense of community among young Hoosiers with bleeding disorders and their families. Of course, the main objective is to have FUN!

Camp Brave Eagle takes place each June at Camp Crosley in North Webster, IN. Camp Crosley is a YMCA camp situated on Little Lake Tippecanoe. Campers have the opportunity to enjoy swimming, fishing, archery, crafts, and much more during their weeklong stay.

For more information go to the Camp Brave Eagle website or Contact the HoII offices.  Full and partial scholarships are available for those in need of financial assistance.  No camper will be turned away for inability to pay.
